  • Echo-blessed since 13 summers old.

  • His body can't handle alcohol. Depending on how strong it is, he either had a massive headache or straight up on the verge of passing out.

  • Low destructive spell casting potential but high healing potential.

  • Has a knack of combining disciple weapons, skills, and spells.

  • He was given a version of the Ultima Sword attack by the Astral Bahamut during Eos' 10 years of Darkness. He only kept a fraction of it when he returned to Eitherys.

  • Interested in World and/or Universe travel after returning from Eos.

  • Can sense spirits and the likes but can't communicate directly with them.

  • Somehow can understand what his chocobo 'says' but otherwise can't talk to animals, even other chocobos.

  • He nods. A lot. Might as well rivaling the Warrior of Light in term of nodding strength.

  • Has soft spot to cute things.

  • Frequently crossdress. Usually prefers to wear long dresses.

  • Book nerd. You'd be hard pressed to not see him reading around the vicinity of books.

  • He likes tea, preferably chamomile.

  • He can't cook to save his life. Almost everything he cooks would turn into a disaster (dubbed 'a dubious ceruleum substance'). The only thing that he could consistently make decently so far are teas and dango.

  • Instead of linkpearl, he possesses a touchscreen smartphone that records data from linkpearls and linkshells, turning them into phone numbers. It also supports communication with any type of phone and active tomestones.

Alter Egos

History

*Umineko spoiler warning.Born to the House Ushiromiya in a private island known as Rokkenjima, Lion was the first child of the eldest son thus paving his way to be the next family head. Due to the family's connection with the Garlean Empire, he mostly grew up in a more discriminatory environment both from the Empire and the Doman sides. Yet he strived to build good relationship with the two. While the family focused mostly on commercial business, he followed his grandfather's footsteps in military forces, particularly as a marksman. The patriarch, Kinzo, even trained him personally with his collection of custom-made sawed-off Winchester guns, which became his favorite as he grew up. It is notable that, at the astounding age of 10, he had proven himself to be a capable marksman and earned his place in the Military rank as one of their elite snipers. Such decision receive scrutiny ranging from justified concern of age to pettier reasons of jealousy. When he hit his 13th nameday, his Echo manifested following him watching a meteor shower with his younger sister Jessica the previous night. Once the family found out, they treated it as a gift and took advantage of it. Lion, in return, despised it and thought of it as a bad omen instead.Despite putting up a positive outlook, the life with his family, particularly the core family, was sheltered and difficult. His only solace was his sister, the cousins when they visited during annual family conferences, and the house servants. At his 15th summers, he discovered an awful truth of his birth* through the Echo. Coupled with his worsening relationship with his parents, this drove him to ran away from home and changed his identity to Cole, the lone wanderer. He lived off of odd jobs and bounties as he traveled around Eitherys, trying to forget his heritage and not wanting to see any of the family members again.3 years later, a chance meeting with his sister led him to visit his birthplace again if only to make her happy. However, before he was able to board on the ship that carried him there, a huge ceruleum explosion blasted into the night sky. The island was no more, taking most of the family members with it. Devastated and riddled with guilt, he became a death seeker, taking up dangerous jobs in hopes to reunite with his family. It's only after he was saved by a mysterious figure during the 7th Umbral Calamity that he finally found a reason to live again. Currently, he roams the lands offering his help and expertise in order to share goodwill across the world.

Fray Esteem

An inner demon manifested, this shade was 'born' from Cole's guilt and self-loathing. He initially hounded Cole for even daring to keep living and criticized him for seeing good in others despite otherwise. However, Cole's persistence and continued kindness in spite of the world against him made the shade relent, even going as far as trying to 'erase' himself along with whatever guilt plaguing Cole just for his happiness. Yet the Hyur wished for his shade to stay, to remind him of the reason why he's still going on despite the tragedy plaguing his life.He was christened Fray Esteem by Cole, his first name was taken from a deceased Dark Knight whose body he used to manifest before he stole some of Cole's aether to show off his true form and his last name came from who he is to Cole.Fray is different from the other Alter Egos in that he can also be his own entity should Cole willing him to, sparing some of his aether for the inner self to manifest as solid being.Distinguishing Traits: Blood red eyes instead of Cole's light grey ones. Usually seen in a set of Chaos armor and Deathbringer greatsword.

Lion Ushiromiya

Cole's true self. It's the persona he took whenever situation calls for, most of the time involving family business or surviving relatives. He puts up a polite, well spoken if perfectionist façade with this persona in part of internalizing his family's expectation of him being the next family head but he doesn't enjoy it one bit.Despite being who he was, Cole greatly despise this persona for it reminded him of his painful past. He often wishes for the conversation to be over quick, no matter how important it is to his current mission, if only so he could escape from being who he was once more.Distinguishing Traits: Long blond hair either let loose in hime-cut style or tied up, thin (true) eyebrows in contrast to Cole's (fake) bushy ones. Usually seen in an expensive pinkish-red suit with the Ushiromiya crest on the jacket's left collar and an almost perfect replica of the Ushiromiya Head's ring he made himself.

Sayoko "Sayo" Ninomae

One of Cole's female Alter Ego, Sayo is a very timid and soft spoken girl. She shares Cole's kindness and empathetic traits, her even more so than him, going as far as trying to befriend what most people would consider their enemy. She's also naïve and innocent, not understanding some stuff that most people would find as common knowledge, but not stupid. She never raises her voice thought this causes her to channel her anger in a tranquil fury. Her sensitive personality means she can be a quite crybaby at times.Sayo is special in that, while she is obviously one of Cole's many disguise, she can sometimes appear as her own person with little to no connection to her body's true owner. Cole himself most of the time treats her more as her own soul than him pretending to be a girl, even considering her like a little sister to him. However, the true nature of her being is not yet certain.Distinguishing Traits: Short dark greenish brown hair with small braid going above her head. Shares Cole's bushy eyebrows but she wears light earth-toned make up. Usually seen in a light blue plain dress and a white lily hair ornament.

Hikaru

One of Cole's female Alter Ego. Contrasting to Sayo, Hikaru is a mysterious, elegant, sharp spoken, and assertive lady. She's Cole's go to persona if the mission requires him to disguise as a woman with a high status.Hikaru is perhaps the most one-dimensional Alter Ego out of the four as she's the most recent one and Cole hasn't got time to develop her yet. Her very existence is a product of an unexpected mission that requires him to accompany someone as their 'cool and rich-looking' consort.Distinguishing Traits: Long light lavender hair. Shares Lion's thin eyebrows and wears heavier make up compared to Sayo. Usually seen in a turquoise high house dress and a yellow lily hair ornament.

Current StorylineThe Scythe of Tremor - One day, a mysterious golden scythe appears by his doorstep. Only given a cryptic message by its anonymous sender, Cole sought to find its true origin as - despite appearing to be an ordinary Garlean Reaper scythe - it features a much more Eastern motif. Those aetherically sensitive could sense Earth-aspected aether coming out of it and it lacks the bond with voidsent. Known effects include causing tremors when intentionally plunged to the ground and creates whirlwind of thick dust around its user when twirled overhead.------------------------------------------------------------MSQ And Side Quests Related(Yo)Tsuyu's "Brother" (StormBlood 4.1-4.2) - Most Doman or those who know her tyranny would understandably be wary of the amnesiac Yotsuyu. Not Cole. Having unintentionally witnessing her past through the Echo in his serving the Empire, he understands the former viceroy's plight and determines to give her another chance. A chance for a happy and peaceful life however fleeting it is. You can either support or confront him for his choice. Do beware though. If you're going to hurt (Yo)Tsuyu, you have to go over his dead body first.A Brother's Lament (StormBlood 4.3) - You find Cole sitting beside a lone bamboo tree under a full moon night, a box of dango beside him. You recognize him to be one of Yotsuyu's "Guardian" during her amnesiac episode or you're just curious why there's a man alone in a middle of nothingness midnight. One thing for sure, you notice his bittersweet smile as he gazes onto the moon, quitely muttering the name "Yotsu".Namazu Festival (Namazu Beast Tribe Quests) - If you like to roam the Azim Steppe or got yourself roped into Namazu hijinks, chances are you meet him helping the Namazu with their festival. He even get a mini booze-loving Namazu companion with him!Remnants of Home Lost (Endwalker) - After he heard of Garlemald's destruction, Cole visits her ruins as an independent traveler, later volunteering to the Ilsabardian Contingent group in helping their humanitarian aid mission. Whether you're a survivor of the chaos, a fellow contingent personnel, or just another traveler, Garlean or Spoken, he isn't averse for a little chat, maybe some nostalgia talk along the way.------------------------------------------------------------CrossoversThe Lost Ushiromiya (Umineko Crossover) - You happen to know the Ushiromiya family and you're aware of their missing heir, Lion Ushiromiya. You come across Cole and notices the similarities between him and Lion. Perhaps you should confront him on it.Traveler of Eos (FF15 Crossover) - Owing for his time spent with the Chocobros in the star of Eos, it is his desire to return to that star if only for a moment. The Messenger Garuda had barred him from her blessings to travel there, so he tries to find an alternate way to access Eos. He seeks those with insights of Interstellar knowledge, those participated in Sharlayan's Ragnarök Project, or even those once whisked away from Eitherys as well.Teleporter Going Up! (TF2 Crossover) - After some mishap in the matrix caused him to be stranded in late 60s America and forced to partake in a futile Gravel War, a kindly Engineer has fashioned two teleporters for him, allowing him to return to Eitherys with one and the other in case he wishes to return to Earth. Alas the latter is insufficiently crafted, lacking the necessary mineral known as Australium to power it up. Currently, he searches for any mineral or crystal that could power the downed teleporter up the way Australium could.------------------------------------------------------------General HooksDealing with The Alter Egos - Are you interested in meeting one of the Alter Egos? We can arrange that! This hook can be combined with anything within the General Hooks section except Life Under Garlean Empire, which will defaulted to Lion.Blessed by The Echo - Despite having the Echo since his 13th nameday, he couldn't control when would it manifest. This resulted in him unwittingly witnessed someone's past at any given time, marked by him suffering a great headache. It's one reason why he ran away from home and changed his identity from Lion to Cole as he unwittingly witnessed Kinzo's past. By the 20th summers, he managed to learn how to control his Echo - able to call upon it should he wished to - as it arguably didn't give him any other beneficial ability other than seeing into someone's past. (OP Note: the Echo ability will not come up into our RP unless specifically allowed).Life Under Garlean Empire - As Lion, he worked his way inside the military rank as an expert sniper despite his young age. Despite the discrimination, he's open to any talk from Garlean and Doman/Eorzean alike and will treat you as a peer.A Fellow Guild Member - You either meet him in the guild quarter or you just happen to recognize him from one of the guild. Either way, he's more than happy to accompany you in whatever next mission you're onto or whatever next project you're given by the guildmaster. Relevant Guilds: Rogue, Thaumaturge, Machinist, Blue Mage, Goldsmith, Weaver (Also Culinarian but he's absolute shite at cooking so it's mostly likely you get approached by him instead).Adventuring Together - Given his current status as a wanderer, Cole has too much free time on his hand. If you happen to need help or just need a companion in your adventure, he'll be glad to join you.Weaver's Duty - Need anything to mend? Or do you perchance need a new attire? He can help you with that! (OP Note: RP only but if it's within my capability to do so and either of us have the required mats, then I can try to help synthesizing any weaver recipe for real).A Duel for Two - The thrill of the fight is something he could appreciate so don't hesitate to approach him for a sparring partner.Spicy 18+ Stuff - Cole is no stranger to sex but he's still a virgin and has no practical knowledge of how to do the diddle. He only knows the concept of it from various science and romance books he consumed over the years. Perhaps you could help him? (OP Note: Please be of age 18 or up for this one. If I find out you're younger than that, then I have the right to cut our ERP short as I'm not comfortable with it.)------------------------------------------------------------Obsolete StorylineDiscovery of Bismericetus - When working with a couple of Paleontologists, he discovers a nearly complete fossil cluster of an ancient baleen animal. After further research, the Paleontologists determined that the remnants were connected to the Primal Bismarck - or rather his mortal life - with one relatively juvenile specimen being suspected as the whale himself. Little is known of Bismarck's mortal life aside from his apparent albinism, the ostracization due to it, and his subsequent death and rebirth as the Lord of Mist. Yet one researcher insisted that there's more to it than the myth would let on, as the fossil remnants exhibited defensive maneuver around 'Bismarck's' own. Currently, Cole along with several novice researchers are tasked to find whatever existing record of Bismarck's life before Primal in order to set straight the mystery around the fossil remnants - the elusive Bismericetus.

Hoi hoi! OP here! owo/I usually call myself DN, derived from my discord username SHSL Despair Ninjas. 20+ years old independent IT developer in the Southeast Asia so my haunting time may seem weird to some folks. I mainly speak English in FF but do pardon me if I made grammatical or spelling error.I'm mostly a casual FFXIV player, doing FATEs, dungeons, trials (HELLo, MotherCrystal!), and raids. May also addicted to PvP (Help me on CC rip). Sometimes spend the entire day venue hopping (It do be morning when they're flourish).Relatively passive as an RPer, mostly because I rarely come up with my own storyline beside guild and background stuff until recently. I welcome any kind of RP but usually enjoy chill and combat RP though if you want I'm okay with some ERP 7w7''' If we can't finish RP in-game then we can continue it on Discord or Tumblr if you want. My usual venue destinations are cafe, cafe-bar, fight clubs, and exhibition-like venues. My character Cole was initially more MSQ heavy before I'm dipping my ass seriously into RP scene. He's basically a version of Cole from LEGO Ninjago but with a lot of emphasis on the Umineko side since I made him an alternate version of Lion as well but as time goes on he starts to become his own entity. As I gradually focused on more RP, I had to make distinction between MSQ!Cole and RP!Cole, cuz the MSQ side starts to include more of Meta World bullshit (y'know, Witches and gameboard and pieces and shit like that. If you read Umineko, you'd know what I'm referring to). The one I used in this carrd is the RP version so you don't have to worry about meta bullshits and the likes. There's still some elements that intersect with MSQ (e.g. Cole being Tsuyu's guardian) but it's only few and I'll defaulted to ignoring MSQ stories unless you specifically mention it for our RP.I'm hoping I can at least build a short term RP relationship like a one-off or just chance talk (long-term story is a bonus). As I'm done with MSQ and doesn't really focus on anything else beside getting to top tier in CC, I don't really have much else to do in terms of the game's quests so now I can focus on fleshing out my RP skills.Discord: SHSL Despair Ninjas#2328
